The backup is very simple. It will build a copy of your data as it currently appears in BgMetrics. The backup is automatically placed in a subdirectory of the program named "Backup" in a file named "Backup.bgd" The file is overwritten everytime you request a backup.
If, for some reason, your data becomes corrupted, you can load the Backup file and save it back to it's original directory and name.
