With the food listing tool it is now possible to point and click updates to your meal data. It is not a perfect system but we have added the ability to add a full meal of information to the FoodListing database after entering it in the Data entry window or using the Menu Builder.
This will allow the user to double click on a common "Full meal" that he has setup and have it automatically entered into the "Data entry" window along with it's Calorie, Protein, Carb and Fat content. Please see the section on the Menu Builder for more information.
The data comes in ascii format with fixed length records from (?) a government agency whose name I forget and we have no expertise or control over the content. We have converted the data to appear a line at a time. You may add or delete items from these files but you will need to keep the same character postion for each of the fields in the records. More information on editing these files may be found in Manually Editing FoodListings and Manually Editing "Full Meal" Listings.
The menu items for the FoodListing Container consist of:
- Options - Creat link to clipboard - Copies the currently selected record to the clipboard for pasting elsewhere.
- Options - Exit - Closes the FoodListing window.
- Load - Load all - Loads all categories of foods.
- Load - Load full meals - Loads the "Full meal" database or deletes it from the container depending on the last selection of this item.
- Load - Load breads - Loads the "Bread" database or deletes it from the container depending on the last selection of this item.
- Load - Load meats - Loads the "Meat" database or deletes it from the container depending on the last selection of this item.
- Load - Load fats - Loads the "Fat" database or deletes it from the container depending on the last selection of this item.
- Load - Load milk - Loads the "Milk" database or deletes it from the container depending on the last selection of this item.
- Load - Load vegetables - Loads the "Vegetable" database or deletes it from the container depending on the last selection of this item.
- Load - Load fruit - Loads the "Fruit" database or deletes it from the container depending on the last selection of this item.
- Load - Load free - Loads the "Free" database or deletes it from the container depending on the last selection of this item.
- Load - Clear all items - Deletes all items from the container.
- Help - General help - Opens the help window for this window.
- Help - Product information - Opens the product information splash screen.
