There are four types of audio files in the "sounds" directory. You can mix or match whatever you like to get a scheme that fits.
The four types are:
- Sounds of Affirmation - This is what your child hears when they have spelled a word correctly or have answered a math question properly. You may add or delete as many of these as you wish. When adding affirmation waves, use "affirm??.wav" for a name (replace the ?? with a number) and the program will find it and use it in random order with the rest.
- BooBoo's - All BooBoo's use the "booboo??.wav" naming convention. (replace the ?? with a number) You may add or delete as many as you wish and the program will use them in the order it reads them from the disk.
- Background sounds - There are a half dozen background sounds included and you may add or delete as you wish. The background sounds will be audible every five minutes if there is nothing else happening. The naming convention for background sounds "bg??.wav" with the ?? being replaced by a number.
- System sounds - There are four wav files for events in the program that you may replace. They are:
- Startup.wav - The sound played when the program opens.
- Click.wav - The sound played when the mouse approaches the Exit or Help buttons.
- SBarClos.wav - The sound played when the sidebar opens.
- SBarOpen.wav - The sound played when the sidebar closes.
