At the tender age of 46 I am blessed with four lovely grandchildren. KidStreet was born out of a desire to write something that they could play with and at the same time it is my hope that it will help them learn a few basic principals without realizing they are actually learning something.
With KidStreet your children will learn to recognize letters and numbers as well as learning to spell, type and even pick up a few math skills while they are hopefully enjoying the sights and sounds of the program. As a parent or guardian you may want to customize the sights and sounds to add variety and possibly prevent them from getting old and overbearing (or maybe just stagnant) for your kids.
KidStreet is especially suited to pre-kindergarden through elementary aged children. Word sizes are adjustable so your child can start by trying to recognize individual letters of the alphabet and as they progress you can "up the ante," so to speak, by setting the word length longer. Older kids can polish their typing skills with the longer word lengths and brush up on their math with the Multiplication and Division routines.
