The wordlists were created by writing a program to parse everything out of a small dictionary. The outcome of this is that we were able to get a very nice sized collection of words (32,000) for the wordlists.

On the downside, there are words found in a dictionary that may not be what we want our kids to be working with. We will be culling the wordlists of undesirables but as a parent you may wish to add or delete words in the files.

We have included an editor to aid in culling or adding to the wordlists. It may be accessed through the SideBar. When deleting a word please remove the complete line that the word resides on leaving no spaces between words. When adding a word, be sure it is alone on it's line in the editor and that it is the correct length for the file. Empty lines or incorrect word lengths will result in a corrupted .dat file.

The wordlist editor may look like a standard editor but it will only work to do the wordlist files. So... Just in case you thought you would do a quick edit of any other file, this is your warning... it will not work with standard files.
