PillarSoft Suite

The PillarSoft Suite is a great collection of software and utilities specifically for the OS/2 family of operating systems. From the well known and highly regarded WarpZip to the lowliest color selection utility, they are all gathered here. The suite will make you more productive immediately with a great archiver, two editors, a secure deletion program, paint program, an easy to use desktop backup program and much more.

Here are all of our standard products that are available as part of the PillarSoft Suite.

  • Data Shield
  • DeskTop Backup
  • Enhanced E Editors
  • SFX Installer
  • ShowTime/2
  • PSC - Status Center
  • WarpZip
  • WarpZip Lite

The "Bonus" applications...

  • Huey - a color selection utility
  • Killer - a "mini" process killer
  • Pocket PassWord Protector - Keeps password listings (encrypted)
  • PCT - Code Template Tool
  • VP - a small but cute Video Player
  • WarPaint - a "pixel paint" program for OS/2
  • KidStreet - Educational program for kids made available for test market. Large archive and not packaged with suite.

These applications were not originally part of the suite and are not available separately. They have been bundled to bring added value to the Suite and are available to the previous purchasers of the suite at no additional cost. (Sometimes it's nice to do something for previous users without expecting something for it)

We thought long and hard about letting WarPaint become part of this set of tools. It is a handy tool as a basic paint program but we hadn't released it up to this point because of issues with video drivers etc. Problems can range from the eye-dropper not reporting correct colors (noticed with a Cirrus card) to the whole program wanting to fold up when trying to use the pattern selector. The pattern selector does not appear by default now but may be tried by adding the /P switch to the startup parameters for the program. Please read the readme file for WarPaint concerning this.
