The Status Center (PSC) Software

The Status Center (PSC) has been a useful system information tool that goes a bit beyond the usual information provided by most tools of it's class.

The Status Center (PSC) is a system information tool that goes a bit beyond the usual information provided by most tools of it's class. The information is well layed out and includes the ability to track individual process information (much like PSTAT) as well as extended information on their threads, semaphores, shared memory objects, window handles and especially the dynamic link libraries that each process is using.

PSC's original intent, and perhaps greatest strength, was to track dll's that a process is actually using as opposed to the dll it is "supposed" to be using. This helped the developer or support person to verify whether an old or incorrect version of a dll was being found on a particular system and being used rather than the correct one. It proved to be invaluable in that respect and thus began to take on more responsibility in terms of feeding the developer or support personnel more information.

PSC also includes global system information, a switch list and a process killer. Multiple process kills and tree kills are also available.
